Gotta Have Faith, Faith, Faith

Blog by Matt Carre | March 13th, 2014

So you've been on the market for a bit and nothing is happening, I get it!  No, really I do!  We have our home listed right now and I know exactly how you feel.  I ask Matt everytime "Is this going to be the one"?  And he faithfully answers "yes" even though his guess is as good as mine.

Right now it's a Seller's market so why would this even be happening?  It's important to understand that each price point is it's own pocket of the market.  Although it might be a Seller's market overall, it might not be for your price point or your product.  You do have to be honest about the market and know if your home is priced well.  It's not just looking at what else is on the market, you have to really look at what has sold and for how much.  That's the truest indicator of the market.

The most important thing is to not lose faith.  I always tell my clients that if it's meant to be, it will be.  When the time is right, it will happen.  And I believe that, I really do.  I'll be honest though, I've lost faith myself.  I've second guessed, I've asked ridiculous questions and I've started dreaming up things I should do differently.  The bottom line is that you must stay the course, don't neglect evidence that you need to make changes but don't grasp just because it's not happeneing when YOU think it should.  Have faith that it will, believe in your actions and the greater picture.

It's easy to hear advice from someone but if I'm getting advice I want it to be from someone who's recently been through it, who knows in their gut what it's like.  If that's you, I hope this has helped.

Hey, we'd love for you to sign up for our weekly updates.  It's a short email with links to blog posts, tips on things to do around Airdrie, a quick house tip and a fabulous photo of an inspiring home.
