Psst . . . I have a Secret!

Blog by Matt Carre | November 27th, 2013

Come closer… I have an incredible secret about Airdrie!  It’s there perfect combination of luxury living and community.

Let’s talk about the luxury living part.  Cooper’s Crossing is generally thought of as one of the nicest areas in Airdrie but there are others too.  Many communities offer pockets with Estate Homes including Bayside, Woodside, Thorburn, Meadowbrook, Canals, Old Towne, Fairways, Waterstone and Jensen.  There are also the surrounding  acreage communities like Buffalo Rub, Sharp Hill, Yankee Valley Estates and Rainbow Heights.

Sometimes these gems are on cul-de-sacs you never knew existed or it’s a street you’ve just never turned down.  In my job I get to drive down every street in Airdrie and find these little nuggets of splendour.  Some of these homes sit on large lots, some have great views or back onto water.  There are even areas where there is actually space between the houses!  Some have long driveways, some have mature trees and secluded backyards.  Some of these homes are brand new, others are completely renovated and some have a great foundation and are ready to be brought into the 21st century.

We tend to imagine gobs of square footage when we think of luxury homes and granted some of these are big but I challenge the theory that bigger is better.  Sometimes it’s more of luxury to not have to clean as much!  Sometimes the luxury is in the character of the home or the quality of the build.

What about community though, why does that make it a perfect combination?  Of course what you live in is important but where it is matters too.  Airdrie has such a profound sense of community and I believe we have a responsibility not to take it for granted and instead to nurture it.  In larger cities it’s easy to stay within your “area”.  They build big malls with a grocery store, gas station, coffee shops, banks and a restaurant or two and you likely drive past it every time you go to or leave your home so if you need something you can just stop there.  What I like about Airdrie is that we have these same sort of malls but they aren’t in a specific community they are situated between or among several different ones.  You get people coming from lots of different areas to buy their groceries.  Airdrie is still fairly small in many ways and if you don’t like the coffee place or grocery store that is closest to you it’s quick to go to the one you really like.  We come together and put on great events that range from artistic to athletic to special interest.  We have a mix of local and chain businesses and restaurants.  We great people and an interesting history.

You put together great homes and a thriving community and you get the perfect combination for Luxury Living.

We want to get you into the home of your dreams so email us to set up an appointment to talk about what your vision is.
