As far as casual dining goes here in Airdrie Original Joe’s is right at the top of the list. However, rather than starting with the food they offer I want to start with a program that they are apart of. It’s called Meal Share. Meal Share’s mission is to see an end to youth hunger in our lifetime. As I could never do justice to the program in a few short sentences here is a link explaining exactly what they do.
Original Joe’s is one of the restaurants that is apart of Meal Share. To date the Airdrie location has contributed 2902 meals and in total, over 150,000 meals have been delivered. Last week it was announced that every time someone orders the Pacific Rim Noodle Soup a second meal will be shared with someone in need. Here is a bit more on OJ’s involvement in the program.
There are so many incredible causes out there and we just want to thank Original Joe’s for being apart of Meal Share. It is agreat thing they do.
Now to the food...
I have to start with there french fries! Best in town and the gravy is killer. The only problem is that they offer two sides with many of their meals and I often order fries and diet fries, my waste line takes a big hit...
My staple their is the Turkey Club Wrap. Now my family will question this because I continuously say that I don’t like Turkey and I really don’t. Turkey has no flavor. It’s everything that goes with the Turkey that people like at Christmas and Thanks Giving. So true to that, its all the other stuff inside that I really like. Truthfully I don’t really know what that is other than there is plenty of bacon. Enough said.

There are so many other great items to chose from. For starters their hummus is spectacular. Really good wings and although its not on the menu I had one of the servers recommend mixing the hot sauce with dill pickle. I wasn’t sure about it but I trusted her and they we awesome. The Long Beach Fish Tacos along with Fish and Chips are a great option too and so are the Cajun Burger and Ribs. Tons of items to chose from and I am sure you will find your favorite.
Thursdays they offer 1/2 off bottles of wine and have other drink specials throughout the week. OJ’s is really a great place to go watch the game but certainly not too loud to enjoy a conversation with your significant other or a group of friends.
Original Joe’s or as everyone calls them "OJ’s" is really just a fun place to go and of course…
